Natural polo shirts: your questions

What is a natural polo?

A polo shirt made from natural and bio-based fibers instead of polyester. Most polo shirts sold today are plastic: polyester holds heat, holds odor and sheds microfibers. HyperNatural polos are knit from Supima® cotton and Hyper-Cool Jade® viscose, a cellulose fiber with jade minerals and chitin embedded in it, with 3% to 7% Creora® Regen recycled spandex for stretch. 0% polyester.

Is a natural polo cooler than a polyester polo?

Yes. Hyper-Cool Jade® puts jade minerals in the fiber, and they conduct heat away from your skin: 5° cooler. The fabric is lab tested 20x more breathable than polyester. Polyester is plastic, and it holds heat against you.

Do natural polo shirts smell less than polyester?

Yes. Polyester absorbs the oily compounds in sweat and holds them. A 2024 University of Alberta study found polyester held odor intensity longest of five fibers tested. Every HyperNatural polo carries Hyper-Chitin, a natural antimicrobial from crab shells, in the fiber. It cuts odor-causing bacteria by 99%, and it is not a finish that washes out.

Which natural polo should I choose?

For golf and hot days, the Pinehurst Classic Fit Jersey Polo, a featherweight Supima® jersey. For every day, the El Capitán Classic Fit Micro-Pique Polo, our best seller. For a closer cut, the Dagger and Biscayne slim fit micro-pique polos. Every one carries Hyper-Cool Jade® and Hyper-Chitin.

Are HyperNatural polos certified?

HyperNatural fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and bluesign® approved. The Creora® Regen spandex is recycled and certified to the Global Recycled Standard.
