5° Cooler and 20x More Breathable than Polyester Plastic Golf Shirts
Yes. Polyester is a plastic fiber, so it blocks airflow and holds heat against your skin. HyperNatural knits are lab tested to be 20x more breathable than polyester, and the jade minerals in Hyper-Cool Jade® conduct heat away from the body for a surface temperature up to 5° cooler.
Our micro-pique polos blend Supima® cotton with jade minerals and chitin derived from crab shells. The cooling and anti-odor performance is built into the fiber at the yarn level, so it never washes out. There is no polyester, no plastic and no chemical performance coating.
The opposite. Synthetics are notorious for permanent odor because bacteria cling to plastic fibers. Chitin is naturally antimicrobial and reduces odor-causing bacteria by 99%, so the shirt stays fresh through a round and a car ride home.
No. Every HyperNatural fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, which tests the finished textile for harmful substances including PFAS, BPA and restricted dyes. We do not use chemical wicking or water-repellent finishes to fake performance.
Cost and convenience. Polyester is cheap to produce, easy to dye and dries fast, which made it the default for performance apparel. Fast drying is not the same as staying cool, and the tradeoff is a plastic layer that traps heat and holds odor.
Yes. Our polos are cut as traditional collared golf shirts in classic and slim fits, with a clean micro-pique finish. Esquire called our polo the best on the planet, and it reads as a premium club shirt rather than technical gear.
Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Because the performance is engineered into the fiber rather than applied as a coating, the cooling and anti-odor properties do not degrade with washing, and the shirt sheds no plastic microfibers into your machine.
