Most cooling t-shirts are polyester. Polyester is plastic: it blocks airflow, holds heat against your skin and holds onto the smell of every workout.

The Topanga cools with what is in the fiber. Hyper-Cool Jade® puts jade minerals in the yarn that pull heat away from your skin, so the Topanga is 5° cooler with Hyper-Cool Jade®. The featherweight Supima® jersey is 20× more breathable than polyester, and Hyper-Chitin, from crab shells, delivers a 99%+ reduction in odor-causing bacteria. There is no coating to wash out.

How does a cooling t-shirt work?

A cooling t-shirt moves heat and moisture away from your skin. Most cooling shirts are polyester, and polyester is plastic: it blocks airflow and holds heat against you. The Topanga cools with the fiber itself. Jade minerals in Hyper-Cool Jade® conduct heat away from your skin, so it is 5° cooler with Hyper-Cool Jade®, and the Supima® jersey is 20× more breathable than polyester.

Does the cooling wash out?

No. The jade minerals are in the fiber, not sprayed on, so the Topanga stays cool wash after wash.

Can I work out in the Topanga?

Yes. The featherweight jersey is 20× more breathable than polyester, 7% Creora® Regen spandex gives it stretch, and Hyper-Chitin delivers a 99%+ reduction in odor-causing bacteria, so it does not hold the smell of your last workout.

Is the odor resistance permanent?

Yes. Hyper-Chitin, from crab shells, is part of the fiber, not a coating on top of it. It delivers a 99%+ reduction in odor-causing bacteria and does not wash out.

What is the Topanga made of?

51% Supima® cotton, 42% Hyper-Cool Jade® viscose and 7% Creora® Regen recycled spandex, with Hyper-Chitin in the fiber. 0% polyester.

Is Supima® the same as pima cotton?

Supima® is extra-long-staple pima cotton grown in the USA. It is softer, holds color longer and lasts longer than regular cotton.

How does the Topanga fit?

Classic fit, cut unisex: relaxed on men, a boyfriend fit on women. Our model is 6'1" and wears a medium.
